  1. To appoint a Chair of the Planning Committee for 2026/27 - Cllr Wright proposed Cllr Castle be appointed Chair of the Planning Committee, seconded Cllr Judd and approved unanimously (1 abstention Cllr Castle)
  2. Chair’s welcome and to consider accepting apologies for absence - Cllr Castle welcomed everyone to the meeting. Apologies received from Cllr Piper and Cllr Neve were accepted unanimously.

    1. Application for Planning Permission - DC/26/03209

      Proposal: Householder Application. Installation of a ground mounted solar array with 110 panels
      Location: The Old Rectory, Mellis Road, Burgate, IP22 1QD - The Planning Application was circulated to Councillors prior to the meeting. No objection agreed unanimously – Clerk to add comment to MSDC Planning Portal.

    2. Application for Listed Building Consent - DC/26/03210

      Proposal: Application for Listed Building Consent. Installation of a ground mounted solar array with 110 panels
      Location: the Old Rectory, Mellis Road, Burgate, IP22 1QD - The Application for Listed Building Consent was circulated to Councillors prior to the meeting. No objection agreed unanimously - Clerk to add comment to MSDC Planning Portal

    3. Application for Planning Permission - DC/25/03257

      Proposal: Planning Application - Construction of ground mounted solar panel arrays and associated infrastructure which will have the ability to export 49.9MW (AC) electricity. Construction of a new vehicular access (EIA Development)
      Location: Land at Stone Cottages, Bury Road, Botesdale, IP22 1QH
      Reason(s) for re-consultation: Additional information and Environmental Statement Addendum received - The Planning Application was circulated to Councillors prior to the meeting. After discussion it was unanimously agreed that they neither approve or object to this application, however they do feel that it needs to be taken into consideration the quantum of solar panel applications in the area and not just this application. Clerk to add comment to the MSDC Planning Portal
