The Parish Council is made up of twelve seats in the Gislingham Ward.   There are nine Councillors from Wortham and three Councillors from Burgate.  

The Parish Council meets on average 9 times annually.  The meetings are shared between the villages.  The meetings are held at Wortham Village Hall during the winter and move to Burgate Church hall for the summer months
