To appoint a Chair of the Planning Committee – Whilst there is no legal requirement for a committee to be quorate in order to make decisions, a minimum of three is recommended and therefore it was agreed to defer this to the next meeting as only two councillors were present. Outgoing Chair Cllr Wright to Chair the meeting.
  2. To consider accepting apologies for absence - Apologies were received from Cllr Hovey and unanimously accepted.
  3. To record declarations of interest from members in any item to be discussed - None
  4. To consider any dispensations from members in any item to be discussed - None
  5. Adjourn the meeting to allow public participation - No participation
  6. Re-convene the meeting - 7.02pm
  7. To consider and discuss any new applications
    1. APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION – DC/22/02774. Full Planning Application – Erection of 3 no. dwellings including new vehicular access, with associated garages and parking. Land North of Willow Corner Cottage, Church Road, Wortham. Cllr Wright and Cllr Castle discussed the application, agreeing that there is a need for 3-bedroom family houses in the village, and they can see no reason to object to the application. They agreed to recommend the Council supports the application.
    2. APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION – DC/22/02881. Householder Application – Erection of infill extension and installation of dormer window to and conversion of garage to form new annexe. 1 Cherry Tree Close, Wortham, IP22 1QR. Cllr Wright and Cllr Castle agreed there was no reason to object to this application, and that they recommend the Council supports the application.
  8. To consider and discuss any additional new applications received prior to the meeting – none received.
