A representative of the WLTC informed the committee that they now have a wheelchair member. Disabled parking has become a problem and WLTC would like to add a sign on a post in the garden area outside the Pavilion and mark an area on the car park. It was agreed that spray marking the area can be carried out and a sign placed in the flower bed.
The ditch between the road and the courts has become overgrown - this is amongst works to be carried out by the Commons Committee.
WLTC is looking to upgrade the floodlights to LED. Grants are being sourced and a request was made that the Parish Council be invoiced for the work and WLTC would reimburse accordingly. This would need the approval of the Parish Council - matter to be discussed at the next Parish Council meeting on 7th December 2021.
5. To Re-convene the Meeting
6.17pm
6. To Receive the Clerks Report and Any Outstanding Actions
An email was circulated to Councillors prior to the meeting regarding the access from the Common to the Playing Field. As this had been discussed at the October Parish Council meeting, quotes have been sourced. The Commons Committee agreed in principle to the footbridge. IH to add wire to the sleepers as an interim repair and full approval be sought from the Parish Council at the December meeting.
7. To Consider, Discuss and Agree Controlling Moles on the Playing Field
This matter was discussed and it was agreed to obtain quotes for mole control on the Playing Field. Clerk to source quotes.
8. To Consider, Discuss and Agree to Public Access to Sports Pavilion
Enquiries had been made with Gallagher (Insurance) and installing a key box would not be a problem. Councillor Odams would be happy to install. WLTC to be advised when this is carried out as equipment would need to be moved prior to public access. Councillor Ling forwarded an updated Terms of Condition for keyholders and this will be placed in the Pavilion and on the Parish Council website together with details of how to access the key. The key box and public access will be trialed and reviewed.
Football may return to Wortham Playing Field, but not likely until next season and the mole situation is addressed.
